Love the Blackberry Playbook, Six reasons
"Six Apart, makers of the popular blogging engine Moveable Type and the company behind TypePad, a hosted solution for Moveable Type, has released a native BlackBerry "The Blackberry 2011 World touches withdrawal. The calm returns to the halls of the Marriott World Convention Center, tour last week for about 6,000 attendees, mostly representatives of companies and developers, who knew first-hand news from RIM in terms of new devices and software.
During these days we have had the privilege of tinkering it thoroughly with Playbook Blackberry , RIM’s first foray into the world of Tablet. Although we had our first contact with the device at CES, this new dose has served to draw further conclusions. The Playbook is probably the most personal of the Tablet that will be marketed and has generated conflicting feelings.
Since RIM asked us to not analyze the Playbook until landing in the Spanish market. The reasons are understandable Canadian. For starters, the park Playbook applications is still very low. To continue, we could test device is for the American market, and RIM has plans for your tablet reaches our country better adapted to the idiosyncrasies Spanish (hopefully that does not mean shortcuts or Keteke Tuenti).
In the absence of a definitive model analysis, we offer 12 reasons, some justified and others that we come more from the heart. In this first post I will explain the six reasons why we love the Blackberry Playbook. But all love has its dark side. In the following we will explain six reasons why we hate without remission. Some have under other, we’ll see.
1 .- blooded Blackberry
Although its user experience is not like the Blackberry OS, but rather a Web OS, RIM’s heritage is undeniable. Blackberry fans should have no doubt. Everything in the Playbook is intended to interact securely and directly with the company’s smartphones. Blackberry Bridge Suite is the heart of this unique connectivity through Bluetooth, the Blackberry. Spend a low battery and is ideal for security needs of an enterprise.

2.-Multitasking surprising
The programming of the Playbook on QNX and dual processor has resulted in a spectacular multi-tasking application management. We can, for example, minimize a HD video and see how it continues to run in window while opening other applications. Even games, otherwise we paused, still running and responding to the accelerometer controls as checked the mail. The best we’ve seen in multitasking tablets.
3.-Screen
Although only seven-inch 1024 × 600, the screen looks Playbook spectacularly well. The colors are vivid and the viewing angle is sufficient. Even if we reduce the brightness to a minimum to conserve battery power, the contrast and visibility are kept in very good values. No doubt a great little screen.

4.-Browser
The opinion of the crowd at the World Blackberry has been pretty unanimous. The Playbook’s Web browser is spectacular and, of course, greatly exceeds that seen in other operating systems, IOS (iPad 2) included. The rendering of pages, either on flash or not, it’s great. The feeling, in fact, is that the web loaded like a PC, not a Tablet.

5.-Recording audio / video
One of the most pleasant surprises of the playbook has been his five-megapixel camera. Do not know yet if the hardware of the camera, his manager software or a combination of both, but the Blackberry Tablet 720p records audio and video with remarkable quality. The brightness and focus are very good, and the sharpness of the audio recordings pleasantly surprised us. There is a camcorder, but in expert hands completely gives hit.
6.-Android Applications
Confirmation of the virtual machine that emulates Android applications selected by RIM is the injection of nitro that the Playbook needed to accelerate and attract many users who distrust RIM style will satisfy you. The filter also has to be seen not as a limitation, but rather as a sieve to remove the tons of applications droll, useless and / or idiots who populate the Android Market. Surely the key we’re all thinking will not cease. If nothing goes awry, this virtual machine will be available in June, in time for launch.
