avier Bertrand, Minister of Health and Solidarity welcomed the exit to the market first boxes of medicines 3 months for the treatment of osteoporosis.Under the law of 13 August 2004 on health insurance reform the Government wished to take measures to better adapt the boxes of medicines for the duration of the treatments prescribed dosage.
The decree of 16 December 2004 provides for the possibility of issuing drugs for a period of three months for treatment of chronic illness. After the examination and positive opinion of the Committee on transparency of the High Authority, all necessary arrangements to launch on the market these new packages of three months are now met.
They relate to priority treatment as high cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension and osteoporosis.
These new packaging to improve the care of patients with chronic disease and avoid wastage.
Xavier Bertrand asked the economic committee of health care products (CPES) take steps to accelerate the arrival of large packages and to ensure the uniformity of treatment to 30 and 90 days for treatment of one and three months.
This measure is a first step, it is also planned to extend these new packages to small boxes for the osteoporosis treatment of short duration.
